Carrier Air Conditioning
Named for Willis Carrier, the man widely known as the inventor of the air conditioner, Carrier air conditioning products have been manufactured since 1902. These include both ducted and ductless systems, with an unusually wide range of choices among each—giving customers options ranging from the most basic and affordable to models with special features from advanced silencing technology to air filters that help reduce allergens and air pollutants.Carrier Air Conditioning
Carrier features four models of ducted systems—also known simply as “central air systems”—range from the top-of-the-line Infinity Series to the Comfort/Base Series. Differences include SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) ratings and expected noise level. However, all feature a 10-year warranty on parts.
Carrier offers two primary types of ductless systems: high wall and multi-split. Carrier’s high-wall systems, as the name suggests, feature units designed to be installed high on the wall and are available in a range of models. Your choice will depend on your budget and preferences, with different price points offering different levels of cooling capacity and energy efficiency.
Still another option is a Carrier multi-split system with a single outdoor unit powering multiple indoor blowers—a less-expensive alternative to central air that can heat and cool multiple rooms.
